LinkedIn Audio – Dealing with Panic Attacks

20 April 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

1 in 4 of us can experience a panic attack at any point and as a physical first aider you are more likely to come across someone experiencing a panic attack than a heart attack.

This will be a quick lunch-time talk into how to deal with panic attacks, whether you experience them yourself or you want to know how to support someone else.

Ruth has been a Mental Health First Aid Instructor since 2016 and trained 100’s of people in MHFA skills.

She is a patron of the national anxiety charity No Panic and an accredited trauma-informed coach and applied positive psychology practitioner.

Ruth has provided expert commentary to Claire Eastham’s book published by Penguin “How I learned to live with panic” as well as Lucy Nichol’s “Snowflake” published by Welbeck. Ruth has experienced regular panic attacks since she was 19 years old and was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder in 2015.

Ruth is neurodivergent and has ADHD.
