Introduction to Breathwork Workshop

LDC Wellbeing is excited to partner with Ruth Cooper-Dickson, a UK-based resilience, wellbeing, and trauma-informed coach, to offer an Introduction to Breathwork workshop on Tuesday, July 16th from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm BST.

Breathwork is the practice of using intentional, controlled breathing exercises to affect your physical, mental, and emotional state in positive ways. As a mindfulness tool, practicing breathwork can be a wonderful aid in re-centering in the present moment.

Breathwork techniques have been proven to:

  • Relieve stress and anxiety
  • Release and heal trauma or adverse life experiences
  • Focus on being more positive
  • Develop emotional regulation
  • Improve energy and performance
  • Enhance your quality of sleep
  • Reduce chronic pain.

The Introduction to Breathwork workshop will cover:

  • The science behind breathwork
  • A full body scan meditation
  • Different breathing techniques you can adopt to relax, focus, build clarity, and build energy
  • Conscious connected breathing, which will allow deep awareness of self, and our connection with others, providing the groundwork for profound personal development
